The meeting copilot that answers in your headset
callAssistX listens to your meeting and answers the questions put to you, explains what is on your screen, and writes the minutes when the call ends. Speech recognition runs on your PC; answers come from the AI provider you choose, with your own key.
Free to use with local transcription. Pro trial for 7 days, no card needed.
Them How would you keep the cache consistent when two services write the same row?
Answer
Write-through with a version check, and invalidate on the write path rather than on a timer.
- Each row carries a version; the cache rejects an older one
- Writers publish an invalidation after commit
- Short TTL as a safety net, not the mechanism
Spoken in your headset while it streams. Audio stayed on this PC.
How it works
Three steps, about five minutes
- Step 1
Install
Download the installer and run install.ps1. It installs for your user only; no administrator rights needed.
- Step 2
Sign in
The setup wizard signs you in with Google, checks for a GPU and downloads the speech model.
- Step 3
Add your AI key
Paste a key from OpenRouter, OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini or xAI here on the website. Pay the provider directly; we never mark up usage.
Features
Everything has a button and a hotkey
The hotkeys work while Teams, Zoom or any other window has focus. The window, its menus and dialogs never appear in your screen shares.
Listen
Press once to start, again to stop and get a brief, speakable answer about that stretch of conversation.
Ask
One press answers the last few seconds, no need to start listening first.
Scan
Explains the shared slide or dashboard on your screen, in context of what was just said.
Solve
Solves the problem on screen: code, complexity, dry run and edge cases. Copy code copies just the code.
Explain
Pick any transcript line: the answer pane explains it, its jargon, and what you could say back.
Minutes
When a meeting ends, the recording is re-transcribed in full and the minutes list summary, decisions, action items and open questions.
Memory
Answers draw on your project notes and past meetings and say which source they used. The index stays on your PC.
Minimal mode
A see-through strip at the top of the screen with only the answers; clicks pass through it. Hidden from screen shares.
Interview mode
A meeting type that shapes answers for interviews. Review, Demo, Stand-up and General are built in too; the app suggests one from the conversation.
Privacy
Private by design
Meeting audio never leaves your PC. Transcript snippets and screenshots pass through our server to the AI provider you chose and are not stored. Your provider keys are stored encrypted and used only for your requests.
The desktop app never holds a key or a prompt. Recording other people may need their consent where you are; the app shows a notice before a recording starts.

Windows 10 version 2004 or later. An NVIDIA GPU makes local transcription fast; without one the app uses a smaller CPU model or offers cloud speech.
